that it gets easier with more reps AND that is still tough each time (in a good way). I think a good event is usually hard to pull off and/or takes a fair amount of work. If it is really easy, maybe there is a way to make it more meaningful, impactful, etc… If it is really easy and special, that’s cool too haha!

how having an event on my calendar fuels me for the days leading up to it
figuring out an event experience format is hard, but once you find one that works, it is such a gift
that people will always cancel last minute. Hosting events is a good way to develop a sense of resilience with rejection

how ending an event on time is important and is also kind of hard. I like taking a group photo near the event end time, which sometimes helps people that were thinking about leaving, leave. I think Irish exits are under-rated too.

hosting events is an incredible way to stay in touch with friends. Haven’t talked to someone or seen them in a little bit? Invite them to an event that you are hosting!
hosting regularly keeps your hosting skills and mindset towards it fresh and accessible. Inertia is powerful. Lean into it, if you can and want to!
