Definitely. A friend described this as a "portal", and I used that language on https://socialfabric.nyc:

"...every once in a while, you go to an event that changes your social life forever. You exclaim: “THESE are my people!” and you walk away with connections that lead to further gathering invitations, friendships, and deeper connections.

These are we call “portals”, public or semi-public community events with an affiliated mood where you leave your past life and step through to a new world where you feel you might find your tribe.

Love the vortex event language, David. Last one for me also happened last year -- quite close to yours -- an unexpected 10-day period between March 17 - 27 that changed my week, my month, my year, and... my life. The big question that surfaced for me, and the folks I spent this time with, 'What does it mean to live into interdependence?'
